The Boar  that our group uses represents an age old germanic cultural symbol.In early medieval times , the germanic and scandinavian peoples venerated the Boar for its strength & ferocity.In fact , if a man killed a boar with just his sword / longseax , he was considered to be among the bravest of men!

    My interest & connection with Northern Germany/Jutland go's back 22 years to 1992,when visiting & holidays,remembering from early school days Thorsberger moor central Anglian place of worship,for 1,500 years..& meeting steadfast friend Marc Oliver Ohm of 22 years was a omen from the Gods,as we had the same common ground,passion for all things Angeln,Germanic culture,history heritage,& same wacky sense of humour.& the connection with Angeln in northern Germany Schleisweg Holstein,& Angeln Mercia,the midlands Lincolnshire,Nottinghamshire,where our ancestors Hengest & Horsa set sail from Angeln Germany in 449 AD ,to settle in now Englaland,
    Marc Oliver Ohm is a member of the Angelner Thorsberg Festspiele Folc ,with my good friend Darren Fogg,Marc & i thought it was a good idea to take the next step ,creating a website,for too bring our two groups in kinship for the major Angelner Thorsberg Festspiele festival held in august 2014 & every year.The angelcynn bar folc will be taking part in the rowing of the famous 3rd century Nydam replica boat,that everyone in England is envious about.This will be the pinnacle,& penultimate event of the year so far for our group..
    The Angelcynn Bar folc are the only English reinactment group in regular contact with their Anglyn friends,& homeland Northern Germany/Jutland.
